Penn State Behrend Athletics is seeking a part‑time Sports Information assistant to help run the daily operations of the Sports Information Office and cover varsity events.

You will record statistics, update websites, and assist with game‑day duties such as live stats, rosters, and game notes, while writing game recaps and feature stories. A focus on social media, photography, and content creation is essential.

Qualifications

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as athletic schedules require.
  • Basic knowledge of NCAA athletics and interest in sports communication preferred.
  • Experience with statistics, writing, photography, social media, or website management preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn athletic software systems.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively with coaches, staff, and student‑athletes.

Responsibilities

Schedule

Approximately 20 hours per week. Schedule will vary based on athletic events and department needs, including weekday evenings and occasional weekends during athletic seasons. Flexibility is required to accommodate game coverage and special events.

Compensation

The starting rate for this job is $10 per hour for approximately 20 hours per week.

Background Checks/Clearances

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
