Job summary

A.G. Rhodes in Marietta, GA is seeking a Part-time Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our Cobb community. This 20-hour-per-week day-shift role focuses on assessing and treating residents with speech and language disorders, including dementia care, in a compassionate, multidisciplinary setting.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program, hold a Georgia SLP license, and have strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program.
• Georgia-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in good standing.
• Minimum two years of Skilled Nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in person-directed care and dementia care preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across disciplines.
• Experience with PointClickCare electronic records system preferred.

Qualifications for our Speech Therapist SLP position include:

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program
• Speech Language Pathologist License in good standing and able to practice in the state of Georgia
• Two years of experience in Skilled Nursing community preferred
• Experience working in a person directed care environment preferred
• Experience working with persons living with dementia
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent team player, able to work harmoniously across multiple disciplines
• Ability to effectively interact with elders and their families
• Compassionate and empathetic towards elders, especially those who have communication difficulties
• Ability to assess and diagnose speech and language disorders accurately
• Experience with PointClickCare electronic records system preferred
