Job summary

Graves County School District is seeking a Speech-Language Therapist (Certified) for a part-time, 3-day-per-week position for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. The role requires valid Kentucky certification and reports to the Director of Special Education and Principals.

The incumbent will provide direct and indirect speech-language services within the school setting and collaborate with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Kentucky is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an orderly learning atmosphere and informs the Director of Special Education and Principals of program activities and issues.
• Conducts speech and language screenings for referred students.
• Conducts hearing screenings as part of the screening process.
• Develops and maintains IEPs for all students on the caseload and completes required evaluations and reports.
• Provides specially designed instruction to students on the caseload.
• Maintains confidentiality of student records and adheres to KDE regulations and district policies.
• Maintains therapy records and submits Medicaid billing in a timely manner.
• Develops daily schedules to maximize therapy time while minimizing disruption to academics.
