Cook Children’s Health Care System in Bedford, Texas is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to deliver high-quality care in our rehabilitation services. The role is 16 hours per week with an 8-hour shift, located at Northeast Rehabilitation Center.

The Speech Language Pathologist will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat hearing, language, articulation, and cognitive disorders in outpatients, using evidence-based practice and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech/language pathology.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment required.
• State license or eligible for state licensure
• Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech/Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• The speech language pathologist will deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families according to identified needs.
• It will be team-oriented with emphasis on customer relations, sound clinical judgment and evidence-based practice.
• The role includes assessment and direct service for outpatients in rehabilitation services across hearing, language and cognitive domains.
• Care for disorders such as articulation, fluency, voice, and respiratory impairments will be provided.
