Luxor Nursing & Rehabilitation At Millspond is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our St James, NY facility on a part-time basis. You will evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with the care team to support communication and swallowing needs.

The role emphasizes evaluations, progress notes, and documentation, with focus on residents' English proficiency and compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited SLP program.
• Current New York State SLP license.
• Experience in long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer evaluations & examinations to diagnose & develop treatment plans.
• Refer clients to additional medical or educational services if needed.
• Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Provide communication instruction to residents with limited English proficiency.
• Record information on initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge.
• Observe and assess progress and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, or standards.

Education

Graduate of an accredited SLP Program

Current New York State SLP License

Experience in long term care settings preferred
