Job summary

The Iron County School District is seeking six Part Time Level II Special Education Paraprofessionals to support students with disabilities at South Elementary. Roles begin in August for the 2026-2027 school year and positions remain open until filled.

5–27.5 hours weekly, with a 1–13.75 hour split as needed, under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher. Responsibilities include instructional support, behavior observation, materials assistance, and helping with physical/medical needs.

Qualifications

• Support students with disabilities under teacher supervision.
• Must have basic computer knowledge and be familiar with Google Docs.
• Regular, reliable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support to students and groups to reinforce learning activities.
• Observes and records behavior to reinforce acceptable behavior.
• Assists certified educators with presentation of learning materials.
• Assists with procedures related to physical and medical needs.
• May assist students with self-care tasks (toilet training, bathing, feeding).
• Participates in developing and carrying out classroom management systems.
• Guides students to work and interact harmoniously with others.
• Supervises students in all areas of the school.
• Operates office equipment such as computers and copiers.
• Maintains regular attendance and job performance.
• Monitors students during lunch hour.
