Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part Time Male Specimen Collector in Portland, Oregon. The role involves observed collections for male patients, with a schedule of Mon, Wed, Fri 9:30am–12:30pm. You will collect specimens, handle samples properly, and liaison between clinicians and the lab.

The ideal candidate has specimen collection or medical support experience, strong customer service skills, and reliable transportation. HIPAA/compliance awareness is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in the medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can substitute for medical experience.
• Must navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• HIPAA/HiTrust/compliance policies must be followed.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Physical requirements include sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information and physician order details.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving between facilities may be required.
