Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part Time Specimen Collector in Chatsworth, GA. You will collect urine and saliva specimens, process and package them for shipping, and act as the bridge between clinics and the laboratory.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months specimen collection or 1+ year medical support experience, plus 2+ years in customer service. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, with HIPAA and security compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in medical field supporting patients preferred
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer
• Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation
• HIPAA/HiTrust confidentiality and compliance knowledge is a plus
• Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information, physician order details, and lab information
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens as applicable
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required
