Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 60 college credits in education or special education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with IEPs and individualized education plans.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support during instructional activities.
• Help with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support students in developing social skills and appropriate behaviors.
• Prepare instructional materials and resources.
• Monitor and document student progress; provide feedback to the teacher.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators and staff.
• Assist students with personal care and mobility as needed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development in special education.
