Crescent Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving Pre-K through 12th grade in Southfield, Michigan. We are hiring two Part-Time Special Education Paraprofessionals to support 7th and 11th grade students with diverse learning needs under the direction of special education teachers.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional materials, implementing IEPs, providing one-on-one and small group support, and monitoring progress.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; related further education preferred.
• Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Assist teachers with instructional materials and activities.
• Support IEP implementation for students with disabilities.
• Provide instructional assistance under supervision.
• Offer one-on-one and small group support in various subjects.
• Help develop academic, social, and communication skills.
• Assist with classroom management and a positive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and share feedback with staff.
• Communicate with teachers, students, and parents about progress.
• Collaborate with other staff to design effective strategies.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
• Assist in preparation and delivery of instructional plans.
• Support student assessment and ensure regular attendance.
