Qualifications

• Must meet RI TEACHER ASSISTANT requirements: an Associate’s Degree or 48 college credits, OR two years of higher education; meet ParaPro standard; complete RI approved TA training.
• Demonstrated aptitude for working with a special needs population and ability to perform assigned responsibilities.
• Must hold CPI certification and meet state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEP goals, 504 accommodations, and ELL accommodations where appropriate.
• Support teachers by providing small-group and in-class assistance to students.
• Maintain daily behavior charts and assist with transitions and organization.
• Provide data collection support and communicate effectively with the instructional team.
