Placer County Office of Education is seeking a part-time Teacher Assistant - Special Education to support certificated staff in providing instruction and assistance to students with diverse disabilities. The role reports to the County Superintendent through designated managers and emphasizes classroom help, safety, and collaboration with the education team.

The ideal candidate will have CPR/First Aid within 30 days of hire and relevant experience with special needs.

Qualifications

• Must currently have or must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
• Paid or volunteer experience in the teaching, care, and assistance with students with special needs.

Responsabilités

• Provides support to assist special education certificated teaching staff with instructing and assisting students having a variety of complex communicative or physical disabilities.
• Performs a variety of general classroom assistance duties under the supervision of designated manager(s).
• Supports daily instructional activities and safety of students in classroom and campus settings.
