Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Assists individual pupils in need of special attention.
• Guides independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work under the direction of the teacher.
• Assists the teacher with non-instructional classroom duties, such as snacks, bathroom and clothing routines.
• Checks notebooks/homework assignments.
• Corrects papers and makes up work under the direction or supervision of the teacher.
• Assists in supervision of testing.
• Assists with student practice and remediation.
• Assists with reading groups and storytelling.
• Assists with small groups and/or individual students in the library.
• Participates in in-service training.
• Assumes duties as directed by the teacher or building administrator.
