Job summary

Tazewell County Public Schools is seeking a VALLSTutor to support teachers across multiple schools in the district. This part-time, hourly position involves assisting with instruction and reinforcing material introduced by the teacher, within a supervised setting.

The role requires an Associate degree or higher and may accept a ParaPro assessment in lieu of a higher credential. Regular attendance and good character are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Associates (two-year) degree or higher education. GED with ParaPro assessment may substitute.
• PARAPRO assessment or equivalent educational credential required.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to the classroom teacher(s) in the management and instruction of students.
• Performs related tasks as required and directed by the teacher or administrator.
• Assists in supervision of testing and learning activities.
• Works under direction and supervision of the classroom teacher(s).
• Provides classroom management and learning environment support.
