Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago seeks a part-time Spanish Mathematics Adult Educator for Malcolm X College. This educator will provide instruction in mathematics to adults in a comprehensive program, designed to enhance their literacy skills, prepare for GED, and more.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and prior teaching experience, coupled with excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English. The position offers a salary of $36.47 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university required.
• Teaching experience is required.
• Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provides Spanish ASE Mathematics instruction to adult education students.
• Conducts assessments to measure student progress.
• Maintains accurate attendance and grading records.

Skills

Teaching and/or tutoring experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education, Education, Elementary or Secondary Education and/or Mathematics Education

Master’s Degree in a related subject
