Job summary

Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio seeks an Adjunct Instructor of English for a one-semester, part-time position. The instructor will teach one 3-hour course and engage with students, faculty, staff, and the community in line with the university’s mission.

Responsibilities include teaching the course, promoting academic programs, attending department meetings, and supporting the campus community under the supervision of the Dean or Campus Dean.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a completed Wayland Baptist University application for employment consistent with WBU’s Christian mission.
• Master’s Degree required in area of instruction or any master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in area of instruction.
• Terminal Degree is required for Graduate courses and preferred for Undergraduate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach one 3-hour course.
• Assist in promoting the academic programs and involvement with community activities.
• Attend scheduled department meetings.
