Job summary

Brightmont Academy seeks a Part-Time Spanish Instructor to provide one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12 at our Phoenix-area campuses.

You will teach with a flexible schedule, with no required lesson planning or outside work, leveraging a personalized 1:1 teaching model. A Bachelor's in Spanish or language education, patience, LMS proficiency, and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish or language education.
• Patience and empathy for individual learning needs.
• Proficiency with G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to obtain fingerprints and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach one-to-one Spanish lessons to students.
• Tailor lessons to each student’s needs and pace.
• Use LMS to assign and track activities and progress.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in your subject area (Spanish, Language education)
• Patience & Empathy: You understand that every student learns differently, and you’re committed to supporting them every step of the way.
• A Heart for Teaching: A genuine passion to share your subject with the next generation.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.

Bonus Qualifications:

• A teaching certification - nice to have, but not required!
• Experience teaching Spanish
• Advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
• Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
