Job summary

Brightmont Academy in Vienna, VA seeks a Part-Time English & Social Studies Teacher for one-to-one instruction with a flexible schedule.

Teach students in grades 1–12, focusing on individual learning needs; no lesson planning or outside work required. A Bachelor's Degree in English, Social Studies, or related field is required, along with patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching. Proficiency with G-Suite and LMS is expected; fingerprint background check required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics, or a related subject.
• Patience & Empathy: support diverse learners one-to-one.
• Heart for Teaching: passion to share subject with students.
• Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
• Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach students one-to-one, tailoring lessons to individual needs.
• Conduct instruction with no outside work or lesson planning required.
• Support student progress and track learning outcomes.

Requirements
