Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Softball Coach to support the coaching staff in day-to-day development and operation of the program, assist with practices, and provide game-day support.

The ideal candidate has strong softball knowledge, a commitment to developing student-athletes, and flexibility to handle charting, dugout organization, and other duties while adhering to NCAA rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ years of athletic coaching experience and/or softball playing experience required.
• A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Assist with team practices and training sessions as schedule permits.
• Support the development of student-athletes through individual and small-group instruction.
• Assist with the implementation of drills and practice plans established by the coaching staff.
• Provide observations and feedback to the coaching staff regarding individual and team performance.
• Assist with game-day charts, including offensive, defensive, pitching, or other performance information.
• Assist with game-day dugout management, organization, and overall team operations.
• Help prepare student-athletes for competition through pregame activities and warm-ups.
• Attend select practices, games, and team activities as mutually agreed upon with the Head Coach.
