General Function
The general function of this position will be to create, edit, and publish content on the Political Science and Philosophy’s social media platforms.
Description of Primary Duties
· Develop engaging content and materials for department’s social media platforms.
· Assist in the creation and editing of written, photo, and video content.
· Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
· Review analytics and create summaries on key metrics.
· Develop strategies and methods for advancing the department’s social media platforms.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
· Prior social media experience required. Video editing capability preferred but not required.
· Must have a passion and proficient understanding of social media, social media platforms, and how to use them effectively.
· Must have strong photo editing skills. Video editing skills with ability to edit long form and short form videos and photos preferred.
· Must be able to post to department’s social media platforms atleast twice a week.
· Entry level applicants welcome to apply but prefer one year of social media or marketing experience.
-Must take initiative for the development of the department’s social media platforms and accounts.
-Must be able to work independently with little guidance and oversight.
-Must have strong communication skills.
