Job summary

Uptown Cheapskate is seeking a part-time Social Media Coordinator in Hackensack, NJ to craft engaging content that showcases our resale experience and connect with the local community. You will work with the founder to shape a dynamic social media strategy for the store and nearby partners.

The role involves filming 1–2 hours per visit once a week, capturing store B-roll, spotting trends, posting 3 Reels/TikToks weekly, daily Instagram stories, and engaging with followers for about 15 minutes

Qualifications

Experience with social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
Strong video editing skills to create polished, engaging short-form content.
Excellent written communication skills for crafting captions and engaging with our audience.
Ability to identify and adapt to social media trends that resonate with our brand value.
Creative mindset with a passion for fashion and community engagement.

Responsibilities

Visit Hackensack, NJ store weekly for 1-2 hours of content filming.
Capture engaging B-roll including inventory, shopping moments, and store activity.
Identify trending audio, formats, hooks, memes, and social trends.
Post ~3 Instagram Reels/TikToks per week and daily Instagram stories.
Engage with the community by responding to comments and interactions daily.
