Job summary

Milwaukee Bucks, LLC. is seeking a Part Time Site Security professional in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Under the direct supervision of the Security Manager, you will patrol the arena perimeter, plazas, parking lots and garage on foot to ensure guest safety and protect assets. This role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a customer care environment is a plus.
• 6-12 months of experience working security in a parking lot or garage.
• Excellent customer service, active listening, teamwork, teamwork, and observational skills.
• Previous experience operating a two-way radio, flashlights, and advising/controlling traffic.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule on 2nd and 3rd shift including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patrol parking areas on foot to prevent vehicle damage or property theft; survey the parking structure, plazas and special zones before, during and after events.
• Use hand signals and/or flashlights to advise authorized parking areas; facilitate traffic flow into/out of parking areas; control entrances/exits as needed.
• Lift, position and remove barricades to open/close parking areas; assist in set up and relocation of portable fencing, traffic cones and signs.
• Monitor and spot check vehicles to ensure regulations and safety are met.
• Use two-way radio to communicate with Arena staff to ensure guest needs are met.
• Maintain a positive customer service attitude; greet and assist guests and employees; provide information.
• Assist guests in locating vehicles; offer escorts to parking areas.
• Maintain situational awareness to provide security.
• Report emergencies via radio.
• Inspect garage for safety/cleanliness; report concerns.
• Coordinate with Supervisor on policy exceptions.
• Assist with surveillance/investigations as required.
• Attend pre-event meetings and training; perform other duties.
