Job summary

The University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies seeks per diem physician instructors to teach didactic and simulation-based courses at its Coral Gables campus.

Qualified candidates hold a medical degree (MD or DO) with relevant certification; clinical experience in EM, internal medicine, neurology, anesthesiology or ultrasound is preferred. Duties include course development, assessment of participants, and maintaining instructor certification.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school or foreign equivalent.
• Certification in relevant specialty; current medical licensure is desired.
• Clinical experience in emergency medicine, internal medicine, neurology, anesthesiology or ultrasound is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach didactic and/or simulation-based courses and participate in course development and quality improvements.
• Assess participant performance and provide feedback.
• Ensure compliance with continuing education or accreditation requirements and maintain instructor certification where applicable (ACLS).
• Adhere to University policies and safeguard University assets.
