Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a part-time HVAC inspection technician to support industrial refrigeration equipment across our accounts.

This role involves one 4-hour shift per week between 7 AM and 6 PM and focuses on inspections and basic maintenance in food and beverage and refrigerated storage facilities. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, HVAC training is a plus, and EPA Universal certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or have attained a GED; HVAC tech school preferred.
• Minimum of 1+ years of industrial HVAC experience preferred but training may be available.
• Universal EPA certification preferred.
• Tobacco-free workplace; no tobacco products on site during workday.
• Pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and driving record check.
• Represent the company with professional grooming and demeanor.
• Ability to climb 40-foot extension ladders and work on all ladders.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods.
• Work in very hot or very cold temperatures and wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly refrigeration inspections and provide basic maintenance for industrial accounts (100 HP–5,000 HP).
• Visually inspect equipment and report findings to customer and service manager.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and governing requirements.
• All other duties as assigned by the service manager.

About The Position

• Job Security: Long-term, permanent position (based on client contract)
• This part-time role requires 1 4-hour shift per week between the hours of 7AM-6PM.

Key Duties

• Responsible for Weekly refrigeration inspections and provide basic maintenance support to industrial accounts in food and beverage and refrigerated storage equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Ability to visually inspect and report findings for all plant refrigeration equipment to customer and service manager
• Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements.
• All other duties as assigned by the service manager.

Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate or have attained a GED, HVAC tech school preferred.
• Minimum of 1+ years of industrial HVAC experience preferred but not required (training may be available).
• Universal EPA certification preferred.
• Companies are a tobacco-free workplace and, as such, no tobacco products are allowed during the workday on the jobsite(s).
• Position requires pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and driving record check.
• As a representative of the company, individuals should be well groomed and professional.
• Ability to climb 40 foot extension ladders and work on all types of ladders.
• Ability to see and hear industrial equipment as it moves around the jobsite.
• Requires face-to-face communication and contact with others (face-to-face, telephone, email, or otherwise).
• Capable of lifting 50lbs.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods of time.
• Requires working in very hot (above 100F) or very cold (below 10F) temperatures and the ability to wear all required safety PPE in these conditions.
