Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to repair, maintain, and support industrial refrigeration equipment across multiple sectors, including food & beverage and cold storage.

The role requires working knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration and electrical controls, with a focus on safe, reliable operation. Travel nationwide on a 10 days on, 4 days off tour schedule; compensation ranges from $30 to $60 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC tech school preferred.
• Universal EPA certification required for handling refrigerants.
• RETA 1&2 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Refrigeration repair and maintenance support for industrial accounts in food and beverage and refrigerated storage equipment from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment in industrial settings.
• Troubleshoot screws and reciprocating compressors, electrical systems, and control/alarm systems; perform inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate knowledge of controls and electrical systems (high and low voltage).

Job Role: A traveling Service Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, & support of industrial refrigeration equipment for our valued customers. A working knowledge of commercial & industrial refrigeration and electrical controls is required to be successful in this role.

Schedule: This position follows a 10-day tour schedule, traveling from Tuesday through the following week's Thursday, with every other Friday through Monday off, typically working 50-60 hours per week.

Pay: $30-$60/hour, dependent on experience

Key Duties

• Responsible for refrigeration repair and maintenance support to industrial accounts in food and beverage and refrigerated storage equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP


• Perform routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment commonly found in industrial applications


• Use working knowledge of screw and reciprocal compressors, electrical troubleshooting all common types of ammonia central systems, & control/alarm systems to perform inspections and preventative maintenance as required


• Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements


• Knowledge of controls and electric (high and low voltage)

Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate or have attained a GED, HVAC tech school preferred


• Universal EPA certification


• RETA 1&2 certification preferred


• Motor alignment experience a plus
