Job summary

Glasbern Inn in Fogleville, PA is seeking a part-time Restaurant Server to deliver prompt food and beverage service with a friendly, attentive demeanor. The role emphasizes upselling to boost revenue and requires strong interaction with guests in a relaxed setting.

Qualifications

• Must have strong organizational, time management and mathematical skills.
• Must be fluent in English and able to communicate clearly with guests and co-workers.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers and be a team player.
• Must have basic knowledge of Beer, Wine and Spirits and be familiar with menu items.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous food & beverage service to guests while maximizing sales volume.
• Provide superior table service to guests in accordance with established standards.
• Ensure customer requests are completed in a courteous manner based on our standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work area to maximize efficiency and aesthetic standards.
• Interact verbally with all guests, creating a service oriented and upbeat atmosphere.
• Complete all payment transactions according to standard.
• Complete all side-work according to standard.
• Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired customers.
• Check IDs of all guests when in question, and not serving guests with no valid ID.
