Job summary

Opry Entertainment Group in Las Vegas is seeking a Server Assistant to support front-of-house operations in our restaurant/bar and live entertainment venue. You will bus, reset tables quickly, assist service staff, and uphold safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, guest-focused communication, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in restaurant operations preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work during peak times, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• State Alcohol Education Card required upon hire.
• State Food Handler Safety Card required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Continually bus tables and reset within three minutes of guest departure.
• Communicate with service staff to meet guest needs and resolve issues professionally.
• Dispose of trash properly and maintain clean odor-free receptacles.
• Keep floors free of hazards and promptly clean spills.
• Report damage to facility property to management.
• Adhere to standards including clean uniforms and professional appearance.
• Maintain sanitary dining areas following health regulations.
• Attend pre-shift meetings and perform opening/closing duties.
• Model company service basics and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

As a Server Assistant in our legendary music and entertainment venues, you'll deliver exceptional guestservice and increase the efficiency and productivity of the front-of-house team. You'll clean and resettables and maintain dining areas at a restaurant, bar, and live entertainment destination. As the idealcandidate you're efficient, reliable, and eager to grow in a fast-paced live music venue.

• Continually bus tables throughout the shift. Clear and reset tables within three minutes of guest departure.
• Communicate with service staff to quickly meet guest needs. Respond to concerns and resolve issues with a professional, positive attitude.
• Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles. Make sure trash receptacles are clean and odor-free.
• Ensure floors are free of potential hazards. Clean all spills, moisture, debris, and other obstacles immediately. Use floor signs to caution guests and staff.
• Report damage to facility property, including furniture and fixtures, to management.
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards, including clean and professional uniforms and personal appearance.
• Maintain clean and orderly food service environment during and after service. Follow sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies in both public areas and back of house.
• Attend pre-shift meetings. Perform defined opening/running/closing duties.
• Model company service basics. Follow all corporate policies, safety and security procedures, and brand SOPs. Promptly report accidents, facility issues, or unsafe conditions to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Speak, hear, and use non-verbal cues to communicate with guests. Stand and walk for extended periods, while carrying items. Stand and walk for extended periods, including on uneven surfaces and while carrying items. Walk up and down stairs while navigating the venue. Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and frequently sit, kneel, bend, and reach to move goods. Manual dexterity for tasks such as using a computer and handling dishes.

Working Conditions

Restaurant/bar/live music environments subject to both kitchen and customer areas with large crowds and elevated noise levels.
