Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a Server to provide warm, welcoming dining experiences for residents and guests in a senior living community. You will support daily dining operations with friendly, timely service and maintain a clean, inviting dining environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior hospitality experience. You should enjoy serving seniors, be mindful of safety and cleanliness, and flexible to weekend work.

• Previous dining or hospitality experience preferred.
• Enjoys working with seniors and providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to interact professionally with residents, guests, and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take meal and beverage orders and serve food in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their meals and dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menus, and food items to assist residents with selections.
• Set up, maintain, and clean dining room tables, side stations, and surrounding areas.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Practice proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing assigned checklists.
• Support orientation and training of new servers as needed.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Assist with dining room organization, flow, and supply placement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Role

• Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals and food service equipment.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends/holidays.
• Comfort interacting closely with residents during meals.
