Job summary

Lakeline Oaks Retirement Community is seeking a Part-Time Server to create meaningful dining experiences for residents in a resort-style setting. You'll assist with Casual Dining and Fine Dining, carry trays, serve beverages, and help ensure a warm, welcoming atmosphere during each shift.

No prior experience required; training provided. Ideal candidates are friendly, dependable, flexible, and able to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• No previous work experience required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and employees.
• Ability to obtain required food handler permits within two (2) weeks of hire, if required by local ordinances.
• State regulations may require certain applicants to obtain a work permit prior to beginning employment. Guidance will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Enhance the dining experience by assisting residents in Casual Dining, carrying trays, serving beverages, and proactively meeting service needs.
• Create memorable moments in Fine Dining by warmly greeting tables, guiding residents through menu selections, accurately taking orders, and serving meals from beverages through dessert.
• Keep the dining room looking its best by clearing and resetting tables, handling dishes, refilling water carafes, and preparing tables before meals.
• Help maintain a clean and organized environment by vacuuming carpets, cleaning the salad bar, and completing other cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Deliver room service meals and pick up trays with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Listen and respond thoughtfully to resident comments or concerns and communicate feedback to supervisors when appropriate.
• Support the team wherever needed by completing side work and other duties assigned by managers or supervisors.
