Job summary

City of San Luis is hiring a Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for seniors to and from the center. You will assist passengers with boarding, operate a multi-passenger bus, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and keep accurate mileage and trip records.

Requirements include a valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License - Class B, First Aid/CPR or ability to obtain within 30 days, and residency within 25 miles of City of San Luis. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred; open until filled.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of five years of verified professional driving experience.
• Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License - Class B.
• First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain before first day.
• Residency within 25 miles of City of San Luis.

Responsibilities

• Operate a multi-passenger vehicle safely and courteously.
• Assist seniors with boarding and exiting, including those with wheelchairs.
• Read maps to determine efficient routes.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain mileage and trip records.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as liaison with passengers and staff.
• May assist center staff with coordination of activities or custodial duties when not driving.
