City of San Luis is hiring a Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for seniors to and from the center. You will assist passengers with boarding, operate a multi-passenger bus, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and keep accurate mileage and trip records.
Requirements include a valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License - Class B, First Aid/CPR or ability to obtain within 30 days, and residency within 25 miles of City of San Luis. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred; open until filled.

Under close supervision of the Senior Services Manager, this position provides safe and reliable transportation services for elderly passengers to and from the center, while providing assistance with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring passenger comfort and safety, performing vehicle maintenance and inspections, maintaining records, and acting as a positive connection between the center and its participants
All Licenses and Certifications required must be maintained throughout employment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and perform repetitive movements of hands or wrists. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 30 pounds unaided. Employees must be physically capable of operating City vehicles, for job-related purposes, safely. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this class, an employee uses written and oral communication skills; reads and interprets data, information and documents; analyzes and solves problems; uses math and mathematical reasoning; performs highly detailed work; deals with multiple concurrent tasks; and interacts with others encountered in the course of work, including frequent contact with customers and/or the public and dissatisfied/abusive individuals.
The employee primarily works on a bus, which involves exposure to moderate noise levels, traffic conditions, road hazards and varying weather conditions. Additionally, the employee may work in a center environment with moderate noise and potential exposure to chemicals while assisting in the kitchen or custodial duties.
