Job summary

City of Avondale, AZ is seeking a Senior Programs Driver in the Neighborhood & Family Services Department. You will deliver meals and provide transportation for senior and homebound participants, performing wellness checks and maintaining accurate records.

Part-time role (<19.5 hours/week) with a consistent schedule Monday-Thursday and occasional Fridays, requiring a valid AZ driver license and customer-service experience. Bilingual Spanish helpful; certifications may be required prior to start.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience with seniors or disabled adults preferred.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License required; driving experience in the West Valley preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals to homebound individuals in a timely manner.
• Conduct welfare checks to ensure health and living conditions are suitable.
• Pack and load meals and coolers into the vehicle for delivery.
• Complete required daily logs and reports.
• Monitor food temperature and delivery times per guidelines.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report repair needs.
• Safely transport participants to and from the center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
