Job summary

Carriage Inn Bryan is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The role covers day-to-day maintenance of the community’s physical assets, performing repairs, basic installations, and cleaning to keep the facilities tidy and functional.

The candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with on-call duties as needed. High School Diploma or GED and 1-2 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders as assigned.
• Prepare vacant resident rooms as directed by the Supervisor.
• Coordinate special projects with the Supervisor.
• Monitor work by outside contractors as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Carry pager/cell phone for on-call maintenance and respond to emergencies.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting and mopping as directed.
