Guardian Real Estate Services is seeking a Part-Time Cook for Discovery Point in Mesa, AZ. The role focuses on preparing quality meals for residents in accordance with safety guidelines, ensuring timely service and menu accuracy.

A valid food handler’s card, 1 year of food service experience, and English proficiency are required. Compensation is $20.00 per hour with benefits including 401-K, paid time off, and sick time accrual.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid food handler’s card required.
• At least one year of experience in food services.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner; both verbally and in writing.
• Complete company training requirements within deadlines.
• Knowledge of kitchen/dining appliances and tools.

Responsibilities

• Represent Guardian in a positive and professional manner at all times.
• Support Food Service Director in managing all aspects of the kitchen per laws and guidelines.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to menus and recipes, on time.
• Ensure meals meet sanitation standards and accommodate special diets.
• Prepare or supervise serving carts as needed.
• Store food properly and label/reuse leftovers per policy.
• Keep the kitchen clean after each meal and follow schedules.
• Attend training sessions and comply with safety policies.
• Handle resident complaints about food promptly and communicate resolutions.
• Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Food Services Director.
