Job summary

Westerwood is seeking a part-time Community Life / Activity Assistant to enhance the daily experiences of our residents at our Columbus, OH campus. The role involves leading and assisting with group and individual activities, coordinating special events, games, outings, and cultural programs.

You will encourage participation, assist residents to and from activities, provide bedside recreation when needed, distribute monthly calendars, help with care plans, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds and walk long distances.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with group and individual activities for residents.
• Coordinate special interest groups, games, parties, outings, and cultural activities.
• Encourage residents to participate and assist to activities and areas; provide bedside recreation when needed.
• Distribute monthly activity calendar and assist with individual care plans.
• Complete documentation as assigned.
