The City of Lakewood is seeking a part-time, energetic fitness instructor for the Recreation and Community Services Department. The position offers up to 28 hours per week with a flexible schedule including weekdays, evenings and weekends, and is at-will in employment.

Duties include instructing fitness classes for older adults, setting up equipment, and supervising the fitness room. Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED is required within six months of appointment, with ACE preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent and two years of work experience as a fitness instructor.
• ACE or another fitness certification is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Instruct and implement a variety of fitness classes for older adults.
• Set up and demonstrate use of fitness equipment.
• Supervise the fitness room.
• Administer First Aid/CPR to park patrons as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as required.
