Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant at the GSS NE Syracuse Ctr in Syracuse, NE. You will monitor food temps, set up a clean serving area, prepare and serve items, handle payments, and maintain HACCP compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires basic math, reading/writing skills, and prior food service or retail experience is preferred. Training is provided and benefits accompany eligible roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• Previous customer service experience, retail counting and reconciliation of money and knowledge of food service preferred.
• Possesses ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record proper temperature of food.
• Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area.
• Prepare and serve food items.
• Restock food areas.
• Clean and sanitize equipment.
• Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register.
• Provide outstanding customer service and communicate with patrons and co-workers.
• Demonstrate ability to establish effective working relationships.
