Job summary

Addington Place of Clarkston in Michigan is seeking a Part-Time caregiver to support residents with daily living activities and companionship on a 6:15 AM to 2:30 PM shift. You will assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility, while following supervisor plans and maintaining residents' dignity.

The role requires at least one year in senior care, basic English, and may require a CNA or CHHA license depending on state; daily log documentation and teamwork are

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in senior care.
• English proficiency to communicate with residents and staff.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on state.
• Basic computer skills.
• Compassionate, professional, and empathetic.
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Ability to solve practical problems and handle high-stress situations.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escorting and other activities of daily living.
• Follow the schedule of residents' needs as set by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Document daily care logs of assistance.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage independence and dignity; respect residents’ confidentiality.
