Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Part-time Resident Assistant to support residents with personal care, companionship, and daily activities. You will work under the Director of Nursing to promote dignity, independence, and quality of life in a compassionate team environment.

The role emphasizes effective communication, adherence to care plans, and initiative in daily tasks, with a commitment to safety and respect for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant within a senior living community or healthcare setting is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EHRs, and HR-related systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs (grooming, hygiene, dressing, nutrition).
• Respond to signal lights and intercoms to determine residents' needs.
• Record vitals and intake/output as directed.
• Assist with mobility and transferring residents, and help with dining and meals.
• Encourage participation in activities and monitor residents' wellbeing.
• Document observations and communicate with the care team promptly.
