Blueberry Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Beverly, MA is seeking an Activities Assistant for a part-time schedule (10 am – 6 pm) with every‑other weekend coverage. You will design engaging activities, document participation, and support residents’ social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well‑being.

The role requires a high school diploma and compassionate communication; experience in activities or healthcare settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with seniors is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging, and positive environment for residents.
• Document resident participation and engagement in activities.
• Promote residents' well-being through meaningful activities and interactions.
• Plan, develop, organize, and implement recreational and social programs.
• Build relationships with residents and encourage participation.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support care goals.
• Observe changes in residents' moods and participation and report them.
• Assist with community outreach and events showcasing resident-centered care.
• Complete administrative tasks and maintain activity records.
• Set up and break down activities and assist with events and holidays.
• Escort and transport residents to activities as needed.
