Job summary

Food Lion in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Retail Associate to deliver fast, friendly service at the front end and assist department managers in maintaining standards and boosting sales. You will engage customers, scan and bag items, and help ensure food safety guidelines are followed.

This role requires standing throughout shifts, lifting up to 60–70 lbs in various departments, and working inside or outside the store as needed.

Responsibilities

• Front End checkout duties: operate cash register, scan and bag items, keep area clean.
• Provide fast, easy, friendly service to Food Lion To Go customers.
• Produce Department: maintain proper product levels and sanitation; work in coolers; lift up to 60 lbs.
• Deli/Bakery/HMS: maintain levels, operate slicer, work in coolers/freezers; lift up to 60 lbs.
• Perishable Department: maintain product levels, work in coolers/freezers; lift up to 60 lbs.
• Grocery Department: stock shelves, manage tagging, lift up to 70 lbs; pallet jack up to 2,000 lbs.
