Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time) in Ruskin, FL to safeguard clients across tech/media/telecom sites. The role offers flexible scheduling and the chance to join a team that values integrity and service.

Pay rate is $17.25 per hour, with a part-time schedule including evening and weekend shifts. You will screen visitors, monitor access points, report security concerns, and maintain a welcoming, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology and media location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access screening requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen visitors, packages, deliveries, and authorized personnel in accordance with established site policies, verifying credentials and directing individuals to designated entry points.
• Monitor access points, screening equipment, and surrounding areas for unusual activity, prohibited items, or policy concerns, and promptly report observations through established channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, business spaces, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and support a professional environment.
