Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Personnel Screener in Tavares, FL. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings, at a rate of $19.00 per hour, with a schedule of DayTime Mon 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM.

The position emphasizes customer service, site screening procedures, and the potential for growth into full-time roles through paid training and scheduled shifts across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public while conducting site-specific screening procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and belongings using designated screening equipment and procedures; refer prohibited items to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, monitor access points, and maintain visitor/screening records per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter; report unusual activity or hazards.

Education
