Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Screener in Columbus, OH to screen visitors and belongings, monitor access points, and report security concerns, contributing to a safe and welcoming campus environment.

You will provide customer service, verify identifications, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and follow site-specific policies, with a schedule that includes Fri, Sat, and Sun shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be 18+ years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local regulation.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Screen visitors, staff, contractors and deliveries according to access controls.
• Verify identifications and direct authorized individuals to locations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter.
