Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Hazelwood, MO. You will patrol facilities, deter security incidents, and provide customer service to employees and visitors at a tech/media/telecom site.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and restricted-access spaces to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain appropriate access-control documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to established protocols.
• Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, reporting maintenance or facility concerns, and assisting with security-related requests as assigned.
