The role emphasizes customer service, incident response, and campus safety. Requires 1 year security experience, HS diploma, and compliance with background checks and licensing where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience or equivalent.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following campus protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain activity logs and incident reports and communicate to supervisors.
