Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Sterling, VA to provide customer service and security for a technology, media, and telecom site. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Position offers a flexible schedule and the ability to claim additional shifts through our platform. Prior security experience and CPR are preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, business areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
