Unarmed Security Officer – Part‑Time Weekend Position

Pay: $19.00 per hour.

This is a part‑time position. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Must be available for 12‑hour shifts on the weekends. Availability must be submitted 30 days in advance.

Location: Toyota Motors North America PDC – 11111 N Airworld Dr, Kansas City, MO 64153.

Earn a $100 Quarterly Perfect Attendance Bonus for officers who are available and present for every shift they commit to during the quarter.

What You’ll Do

• Vehicle/foot patrols – deter theft, vandalism, and suspicious activity.
• Gatehouse – access control; greet and ID residents/guests, log vehicles, announce visitors.
• Front Desk – customer service, access control, CCTV monitoring, package distribution, visitor announcements.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests promptly and courteously.
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespassers or violators from premises when deemed necessary.
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles.
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival.
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures.
• Monitor and detect suspicious behavior to prevent vandalism, theft, or other criminal behavior.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks.
• Warn violators of infractions (e.g., loitering, smoking, or possession of prohibited items).
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms, or emergencies such as fire, injuries, or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders.
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner.
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents).
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed.
• Other duties as determined by management.

Qualifications

• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience OR one year of security experience.
• Must be able to pass pre‑employment screening (background and drug).
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time.
