Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Houston, TX. This role offers flexible hours and requires a TSA-issued TWIC and a valid driver’s license. You may earn more by picking up additional shifts on our scheduling platform.

The position provides customer-facing security duties, commitment to a six-month anchor shift, and opportunities to grow into a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week. A HS diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical facility.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site emergency protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and document access activity, visitor and contractor entry, and unusual conditions in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Report hazards, suspicious activity, damaged barriers, and other security-related concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
