Job summary

Allied Universal in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Response Patrol Driver to provide on-site security coverage with flexible hours and reliable shifts. The role offers a fixed anchor shift plus opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, with a pay rate of $18.96 per hour.

The position requires at least six months of security-related experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least six months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, parking facilities, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access-control points, review credentials as required, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and interactions in clear, accurate reports while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced operational environment.
